The Charity Ballot
RAG supports four charities every year voted for through the cross-campus RAG Charity Ballot, which takes place in Hilary Term (Jan-March). We support two national/international charities and two local charities who we raise money for throughout the year.
To be shortlisted for the selection, charities must be nominated by a current student at Oxford University during the nomination period in early Hilary Term. All nominated charities must be registered in England and Wales in order to be supported by Oxford SU RAG. Our next Charity Ballot will be taking place Hilary Term (January-March) 2021.
Information for Charities
Although all of our central events and projects raise money for the selected charities, we also support college charity representatives to deliver their own fundraising events, other student fundraising projects, as well as carry out collection ‘raids’ in Oxford and elsewhere. Please contact our Charities Liason Officer or our Raids Officer for more information.
