Yellow Submarine

Yellow Submarine is an award-winning Oxfordshire charity that believes people with learning disabilities and autism deserve to live life to the full. We tackle the problem that many people with learning disabilities leave school with limited life skills and as a result poor life chances. This often leads to isolation and being marginalised. We run evening social clubs and daytime work skills projects from the age of 11 up, to help people build social skills, confidence, independence and employability. Oxford adult club: Mondays, 5.30-9pm Oxford youth club: Thursdays, 5.30-8.30pm

  • Wednesday Night Club is a social club for adults aged 18 to 30 with a learning difficulty and/or autism. The club provides a safe, fun space for our members to socialise and enjoy themselves together. Volunteers help by supporting our members while getting involved in the many fun and exciting activities. You could be in town enjoying some pub grub, talking to members about relationships and friendships, or even singing a duet at karaoke night! Helping to facilitate our members' social skills is important. But the main aim is to help them have fun!
