  • EMBS - Community College Volunteer

This opportunity takes place between 04 Oct 2019 and 30 May 2020.

At EMBS Community College we work with young people aged 16-18 years who have struggled with education most of their life. These are young people who lack confidence and self belief. They come to us to retake GCSEs because they didn’t succeed at any other place. We would like some students volunteers who would spend time getting to know our young people and developing meaningful relationships. Giving our students not only someone to talk to but helping them to come out of their shell and help them to realize their worth and potential. We are looking for students who can take that first step to initiate a conversation or play games to help our students feel good. For us it’s about giving our students some self worth because if they feel good about themselves they may just believe they can achieve better this year with us.
