About Canine Concern:
Canine Concern was formed in 1988 by Eve Waring from Somerset, who had seen how important dog visits were to the elderly and lonely. Eve believed in reaching out to people through their dogs. She wanted to make the group friendly and supportive of each other, as well as to the people, old and young, that were visited. Eve lost her sight so passed the running of Canine Concern to loyal Area Coordinators. Eve sadly passed away in 2017 but her spirit and love of people and dogs remains through the 180+ volunteers and their dogs.
