The Oxford Half Marathon is back!

Join team RAG for this epic closed road race around the centre of Oxford on Sunday 13th October. You can either choose to run or volunteer, both of which will help support RAG's charities.
Take on the Oxford Half Marathon in aid of our amazing RAG Charities for 2019-20: Beat, Meningitis Now, Oxfordshire Mind and KEEN Oxford. Fill in this form and we'll send the details for you to sign up!
Places will be £20 with a minimum fundraising target of £100. With public places sold out this is one of the only and cheapest ways to grab a place in this fab race!
Come and join us as RAG takes over one of the official water stations on the route and give out water and encouragement to passing runners!
You'll be needed from about 7.45am-11am on the day and in return you'll get a free cap, breakfast on the day and a free place next year! Fill in your details here and we'll be in touch to confirm nearer the time.

How to set up your fundraising
There’s plenty of things to know for Oxford Half Marathon, do read the below FAQs and get in touch with us if you have any further questions.
When is the Oxford Half Marathon?
13th October 2019. The race starts at 9.30am.
What’s the route?

How much does it cost?
£20 with a minimum fundraising target of £100 and a deposit of the difference between what you've raised by 30/9/19 and £100 if you haven't reached your target by 30/9/19.
Please note: each option is subject to an additional booking fee as charged by FIXR; prices are subject to change. If you don’t hit your target by 30/9/19 and fail to pay a deposit to make up the difference, your race place will not be secured.
What do I get for my money?
Your place includes entry to the Oxford Half, free race photos, an ASICS finisher’s t-shirt, a tote bag for all of your swag and the Oxford Half spectator app. You’ll also get dedicated fundraising support/workshops and training plans from the Oxford RAG team plus the use of our fundraising platform Virgin Money Giving.
What charities is RAG supporting?
The Oxford Half Marathon team will be fundraising for our 2019-20 elected charities: Beat, Meningitis Now, KEEN Oxford and Oxfordshire Mind.
How will I fundraise?
Each participant will set up a Virgin Money Giving page to collect their donations online. It’s a really simple platform to use and is hassle-free! We’ll help you set it up and can provide support throughout to help you smash your fundraising target.
That’s a lot of money to raise, how can you help?
Raising any amount of money for charity can be daunting but we’re here to help every step of the way. We’ll offer face-to-face fundraising workshops to provide tips and tricks to get that sponsorship flooding in. We will also provide support via email. How can you help me train?
Signing up to run a half marathon can be daunting but we’ll be with you every step of the way to help you train. Once you sign up we’ll be sending out some training plans for you to have a go at and can link you up with local running clubs to help you get in tip-top condition for the big day. There’s also loads of fab running apps and training tips to help, why not check out Couch to 5k?
You don’t have to be the next Mo Farah to take on the Oxford Half Marathon you’re allowed to walk or even hop the whole way and there’s other ways to take on the challenge instead of against the clock! These include taking part in fancy dress, with a group of mates, or as a chance to get to know Oxford.
Can I transfer my place to another runner?
No, registration for the Half Marathon is non-transferable, non-refundable and non-deferrable.
How far is a half marathon?
A half marathon is half a marathon so its 13.1 miles or 21km.
Are there prizes?
This is Oxford RAG, of course there are prizes! We’ve got a great set of prizes lined up for the top fundraisers, watch this space to find out more!
