Student Engagement Manager

Oxford SU is one of more that 550 students’ unions across the country with a keen emphasis on student voice and engagement; and with more than 20,000 members and a bold new strategy, it is an exciting time to consider joining us. 

We need your help to lead, develop and deliver the student engagement strategic activity for 18 months at our student union.  

The role of Student Engagement Manager will manage two full time members of staff, work alongside an established management team and be line managed by the Head of Student Engagement and Communications, member of the Senior Leadership Team. You will play an essential role in the development of the student engagement activities as well as the wider SU strategy.  

Purpose of the post:                  

  • To lead, develop, manage and deliver Oxford SU’s student engagement activities working closely with other Mangers to deliver and develop targets outlined in Oxford SU’s Strategic Plan and Annual Plans  

  • Be responsible for the delivery of student democracy processes within Oxford SU including Student Council  

  • Develop a long-term strategy for the improvement of our links and interactions with student groups outside our current remit  

  • Support the Sabbatical Officers in their roles and seek to build an inclusive team which feeds into other areas. 

  • Manage the Student Engagement Coordinators, Student Engagement budget lines, student staff and volunteers as required.
