Oxford's First Ever Climate Assembly

Who's making it happen

Description

Oxford will host its first ever Climate Assembly in the Sheldonian theatre on October 23rd to kick off a year of accelerated climate action in colleges and departments across the university. In partnership with the sustainability department, the Oxford Student Union, and the Vice President of Charities and Communities are hosting this event to bring together the climate community, set collective targets, and connect students and staff with teams working to decarbonize Oxford's operations and leverage its intellectual, social and financial resources to meet the challenge of the climate crisis. All are welcome.

You can find the event link here to register for a seat!

Event discussion will be led by Ethics and Environment Representatives from every college, home bursars and college staff who have founded the Oxford Sustainability Guild, Green Impact Teams from leading Departments, and campaign leads from the Oxford Climate Justice Campaign, The Oxford Climate Society, Veggie Soc, Oxford Sustainability, the Young Greens, the Business School, and the Smith School of Enterprise and Environment
