Improve graduate welfare provisions

Who's making it happen

Description

Welfare resources are currently highly focussed upon home undergraduate students. This means that the specific welfare needs of postgraduate students, which is largely more diverse, largely go ignored.

There are around 12,000 graduate students in Oxford whose welfare needs to be taken into account.

It links to the ‘Your Wellbeing’ strand of the Oxford SU strategy, aiming to enhance student wellbeing on a day-to-day basis and championing an Oxford where every individual can thrive through long-term structural reform.

We want to consult graduates on their needs, lobby for changes to be made in line with their needs, and campaign for establishment of a graduate wellbeing sub-committee.
