Every year the Oxford University Student Body elects two local and two national or international charities for RAG to raise money for.

Our Charities

 

Oxfordshire Mind are a mental health charity based in Witney and West Oxfordshire. They run a wide range of services for anyone over the age of 16 who is affected by mental health problemspeer support groups for people with a shared experience of mental health problems; free short courses on subjects like managing stress and becoming more assertive; expert benefits advice for people with mental health problems; signpost people to other forms of help; provide supported housing; and support for people caring for someone with a mental health problem. 


KEEN is a charity providing sports and social activities for Oxfordshire people with special needs, supported by hundreds of volunteers. Activities are planned, led and supported by volunteers, many of whom are students at Oxford's universities and sixth forms, and KEEN aim to give their participants one-to-one attention. 

 

 


Meningitis Now is a national charity based in the United Kingdom committed to raising awareness of meningitis. Meningitis Now is working towards a future where no one in the UK dies from meningitis and everyone affected gets the support they need. 


Beat is the UK’s leading charity for eating disorder recovery. Beat exists to end the pain and suffering caused by eating disorders by supporting people affected by anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder or other eating disorders through helplines, online support and information. Beat also campaign for change to government policy and health service practice to improve the care for and understanding of eating disorders, and educate professionals and the public.
