About me
Hello there, I’m Jade and I am the Vice President for Access & Academic Affairs this year! Whilst I was a student I was co-chair of the Class Act Campaign and involved with the LGBTQ+ Campaign, which gave me my first experiences with the SU and, more generally, inspired me to get involved in activism and help to create a community at Oxford which is fairer and more inclusive. I was also the chair of the Undergraduate Historians’ Assembly (i.e the History course rep) when I was in second year, hence why I am excited to be taking on a role which combines my past experiences!
This year I want to particularly focus on the issues of postgraduate access, diversification of assessments, supporting care leavers and estranged students, and campaigning about the cost of living crisis. That being said, I have many other causes which I care strongly about and I encourage any student to get in touch with me to discuss matters - I am very much aware that Oxford is an imperfect place and it is through working collectively that we are stronger and more able to bring about change. You can drop me a line at vpaccaff@oxfordsu.ox.ac.uk - I look forward to hearing from you!
