The Oxford University Mexican Society is an interdisciplinary community within the University of Oxford that promotes discussion and collaboration in science, art, and social studies while sharing an interest in Mexico and its culture. The society organises academic presentations and cultural activities for its members and serves as a space for ideas exchange, advice, and support. Membership is free.
If you are interested in Mexican culture, a Mexican student or professional living in Oxford, or a prospective student, you are in the right place. Our aim is to promote Mexican culture and science by organising academic, cultural and social events in Oxford. We are also able to provide informal advice on a number of matters relevant to prospective Mexican students interested in coming to Oxford University.
For over 7 years, we have been the official point of contact for all things Mexican in Oxford, as well as one of the University’s most active international societies. This has been possible thanks to the effort of many Mexican students that have studied at Oxford, where we endeavour to create a welcoming environment for our community.
We know that living far from home can be sometimes overwhelming, but there’s no reason to face it alone. Whether you need advice on how to find a room to stay, or simply want to reach out to our friendly community, don’t be afraid to get in touch!
