Oxford Climate Justice Campaign is a student-led campaign founded on the conviction that our educational institution must use its enormous financial and cultural clout to bring about environmental justice. In April 2020, we got the University to commit to divest its investment fund, worth £4.5 billion from fossil fuels. However, the campaign is far from over.

The University still takes millions from fossil fuel companies each year and in return carries out extensive research for these companies. Our Colleges are still investing in fossil fuels and most have no plans to become carbon zero. Furthermore, the Careers Service promotes jobs and internships on behalf of fossil fuel companies.

As a campaign, we lobby the University and Colleges to change their policies, carry out research into the links between fossil fuel companies and the University and support direct actions that put pressure on the University.

People power is changing the world. Join us this year as we fight to save our world!
