"Oxford University Eton Fives Club is one of the most unique and friendly clubs at the university. Eton Fives is a fast-paced, exciting game that is suitable for all ages and abilities. Whether you’ve played before or have never heard of the game, we’d love to see you on court! The game involves four players, organised into two pairs, playing in an enclosed court of three walls. The ball is hit with your hands, while wearing special padded gloves (which are provided by the club). We practice regularly throughout the week at the Iffley Road Sports centre, with a mixture of mixed and separate sessions for the women’s and men’s teams. Furthermore, we organise regular fixtures against other schools, clubs and universities culminating in the Varsity match against Cambridge in March, in which a team of 6 pairs from the women’s team and 6 pairs from the men’s team compete. The event finishes with a formal dinner with all the players and is definitely one of the highlights of the year! "
