We’re called the Students’ Union because that’s what we are; a union of students.

 

 

 

Sabbatical Officers

There are six Sabbatical Officers elected annually to lead the Students' Union and work full-time on your behalf on various issues across all areas of student life. They hold their position for a full year, starting in July after they are elected. They can hold their roles for a maximum of one year.  They represent you on all levels of student life.

Your Projects

Our Project systems allow you to have your ideas heard, considered and (if other students approve) implemented. Our constitution guarantees that project ideas submitted by students will be considered - and will be put into action if they're practical and are what the rest of our members want.

Student Council

Student Council is in place to make important decisions that affect the student body and ensure that the wide diversity of the student body is fairly represented in these decisions.  

Any student can attend, bring a motion, that aims to change something or asks the Students’’ Union to take a stance on something. Policy is something that the Students' Union adopts and tries to achieve over at least the next three years from the time that the motion passes.
