Communications Coordinator

Welcome to Oxford SU! We are the representative charity for the student at the University of Oxford. We exist to improve the lives of students and are student-led by six elected representatives called Sabbatical Officers who sit on our Trustee Board.

As a member of staff, you will be joining a small team of experts who have worked in this sector for years. Our roles are there to help students fulfil their projects and essential work.

About the role

The Communications Coordinator is our Sabbatical Officers’ first port-of-call when they need to publicize their work. During their year-long terms, our Officers want to complete certain projects and manifesto points, and your role will help them let students know about all the valuable work they do. This role also supports the running of our student newspaper and radio station, and you will work with the Communications Manager to look after Oxford SU's public image.

About the work

No two days are the same in this role - you will balance as-needed tasks like advert and content creation with ongoing projects like media packs and print publications. Understanding how things fit together and articulating this through our communications can be challenging, but very rewarding!

About you

You’ll be naturally organised and able to juggle multiple projects at once, and a top-notch social media content producer. You’ll be an outgoing person, and happy to work with everyone across the Officer and permanent Staff teams when they need your help.
