Oxford SU exists to represent you, the students of Oxford

Whether you're undergraduate or postgraduate, you're part of a student body of over 26,000 students across 39 colleges, 6 permanent private halls, and hundreds of societies. We're here to amplify your voice and make sure your Oxford experience is the best it can be.

We are an independent, student-led charity, democratically run — elected by students, for students.

We're also proud to work alongside Common Room representatives within our Conference of Common Rooms democratic structure, consisting of a body made up of representatives from JCRs and MCRs. Within this conference we propose, discuss, and vote on motions that advocate for the rights and representation of students across the collegiate University. Mission Statement

We are here for students.

We exist to represent students' academic interests, not just for better outcomes, but for a better, more equitable University experience. For a University experience that lifts, challenges, and belongs to every single student.
