Oxford SU is in the middle of a major transformation to strengthen how we represent Oxford University’s 26,000 students. In 2024 we redesigned our democratic structures, launching the Conference of Common Rooms (CCR) as our main decision-making body. We’re now building on that success in Year 2, supporting elected officers, committees, and common rooms to ensure every student voice is heard.

We’re looking for creative and driven staff to help us improve democratic processes and support student leaders. You’ll work closely with elected officers and volunteers in a collaborative, high-support, high-challenge environment, bringing your expertise in democracy, organising, and relationship building to a small, high-performing team.

About the Role

This role is central to ensuring Oxford SU remains a strong, democratic, and representative students’ union. You will oversee and continuously improve our democratic systems, including elections and the Conference of Common Rooms, while building strong relationships with colleges and common rooms across Oxford. A key part of the role is equipping student representatives with the training, data, and support they need to advocate effectively for their members. Working closely with elected officers, you’ll help embed inclusive, transparent processes and strengthen the voice of students across the collegiate University.
