Student Trustees
The Oxford SU Trustee Board is comprised of Sabbatical Officer Trustees, Student Trustees and External (or Lay) Trustees. The purpose of a trustee is to oversee the organisation; the Board has overall legal responsibility for the charity. Being a Trustee is a great experience for many reasons and a practical way to gain insight into the inner workings of a charity. We're looking for students who are passionate about developing Oxford SU, and able to act in the best interests of the organisation at all times.

Term Length: We are now electing Student Trustees on two-year terms. If you cease to be a student before your two year term has concluded, a bye-election will be held.
Eligibility: Each Student Trustee must be a Student at the time of their election, and throughout their term of office. You don't need any other specific qualifications and we'll provide you with training and ongoing support.
There are also some general eligibility criteria that you must meet including that you must not:
- have unspent convictions for offences of dishonesty or deception have previously been removed as a trustee, charity officer, agent or employee, by the Commission or the High Court due to misconduct or mismanagement (or the Scottish equivalents).
- currently be declared bankrupt or subject to bankruptcy restrictions or an interim order
- Be subject to a debt relief order, a debt relief restrictions order or interim order
- Be disqualified from being a company director.
