A statement by Oxford SU

Oxford SU recognises that many students may be concerned about recently announced, upcoming high-profile speaker events in Oxford. We condemn in the strongest possible terms all forms of discrimination and racism, including antisemitism and Islamophobia. We would like to express our support and solidarity to any and all students affected by these events, particularly those from marginalised groups. It is our priority to ensure students feel safe and welcome in Oxford

It is our priority to ensure students feel safe and welcome in Oxford, whilst recognising the importance of freedom of speech. Support for students affected remains available from both the SU's Student Advice webpages and the University's central student wellbeing and support services. We encourage students impacted by these events to reach out and seek support. For more information, please visit our advice webpage.
