About me

What did you study/are you studying at Oxford?

I read BA Philosophy, Politics and Economics at University College (Univ), having completed my degree in June.

What are you most excited about for the next year as a Sabb?

I'm most excited about working with common room presidents across the university, as well as directly with key university stakeholders like the Vice-Chancellor and college heads to deliver tangible improvements and advocate effectively for all of Oxford’s 26,000+ students.

What has surprised you most so far?

What has surprised me most so far is the huge breadth of committees I'm sitting on. These cover everything from shaping inter-collegiate policy, to University sports governance, to contributing to the management of University parks.

Why do you think representation is so important at Oxford specifically?

Oxford's collegiate system fosters incredibly strong college-level, grassroots representation. However, this very system can leave a big void at the University level, and it is crucially important that this void be filled for cross-college, university-wide representation; that's the SU’s job.

Favourite place/thing to do in Oxford?

My favourite thing to do in Oxford is to attend the wonderful events put on by Oxford's huge array of student societies, particularly the political ones.

Tell us a fun fact about you.

During my election campaign, I was endorsed by the University’s Labour Club (OULC), the Conservative Association (OUCA), and the Liberal Association (OSLA) — a national first for a Students’ Union election.
