Freedom for All Students.
Restore Student Democracy.
By empowering students and implementing meaningful changes at our university, I will endeavour to:
1. Defend student rights by abolishing the involuntary suspension or Fitness to Study procedures on grounds of health conditions or disabilities.
2. Advocate the inclusion of Free Speech and diversity of opinion by eliminating disciplinary actions against students for peaceful protests or criticisms of the university or colleges.
3. Reintroduce the SU night bus to facilitate safe travel from student societies and clubs.
4. Tackle disparities between colleges and halls regarding financial support, academic performance, accommodation and food costs by proposing the establishment of a new endowment fund.
5. Promote student welfare by making access to recorded lectures available to all students, actively gathering feedback from various student groups, including men, women, disabled students, home students, international students, disadvantaged students, and minorities, and reforming the student union to ensure that all voting members of the board are students.
6. Reduce bureaucracy by advocating student voices in decision-making processes across the university with a focus on prioritising student welfare, equity, and inclusion.
7. Enhance accessibility to higher education by providing increased opportunities for students from disadvantaged or marginalised backgrounds.
