The Oxford Bhangra Society is a university-wide bhangra team encompassing all colleges at Oxford Uni. The team also performs regularly at many cultural events, schools, and in the UK.
Bhangra dance is a folk dance that originated in Punjab, India. Traditionally, men wear turbans and women wear the respective 'churi daar or salwaar kaameej'. The dance itself is very exciting, lively, and vibrant. This particular performance has some pop songs throughout it, as well! Punjabi Indian culture is about inclusivity, energy, and promoting diversity.
