👋 Welcoming you at the start of your university journey

Find your community

Attendees can connect with one another while exploring a diverse range of organisations and student and clubs and societies, helping them make the most of their unique Oxford experience.

With over 10,000 students attending, expect to see some of your favourite brands (and discover some new ones), meet our sponsors and explore exciting opportunities, and uncover the wide range of student-led activities you can get involved with at Oxford.

All attendees must bring their University ID (Bod Card) with them in order to enter the fair. Without this, you will not be able to enter.

Entry requirements

Freshers Fair 2026 is a no-bag event, so please leave your rucksacks at home.

This is to help reduce crowding inside the venue and to keep everyone safe. If you do bring a bag, you will need to queue for a bag check before entering the venue.

Everyone will be given a free Oxford SU tote bag as they enter the event for all of your freebies!

Who can attend the fair?

Oxford SU invites all University of Oxford students to attend!

Whilst Freshers’ Fair is a great way to kick start your university experience, all are welcome. Non-matriculated students can attend too. Members of the public cannot attend the Fair.

What do I need to bring with me?

You must bring your University ID Card with you so we can ensure every attendee is a registered student. We recommend that all students bring water in a water bottle with them as the water supply will be limited.

Freshers Fair 2026 is a bag-free event where possible. This is to reduce the crowding inside the building. You will be given a tote bag as you enter the venue which you can fill with your freebies and handouts!

Is the event accessible for disabled and neurodivergent students?

We are working with Examination Schools to ensure the fair will be accessible for all students who wish to attend. Please find the Accessibility Info for Freshers' Fair.

We have designated quiet hour from 4pm-5pm on Wednesday 7th October and 9am-10am on Thursday 8th October for students who want to attend the fair at a time with reduced footfall and noise.

A map detailing the accessible entrance to the building will be released in the month before the event.

We will release an accessibility guide closer to the event, found both here on our website and in an All Student Email.

If you would like more specific information, please send an email to fair@oxfordsu.ox.ac.uk and we will be happy to help!

If you need assistance when you arrive at the venue, please speak to a member of the SU staff or events team who will be happy to help.

Anything else I need to know?
