The HCR notes that:

 

  • The Brasenose Ball 2026 requires an underwriting of 5 000 GBP from the HCR.
  • This is to secure passing of the governing body proposal (and thus also secure the permission to have the ball) and to ensure that the committee itself is not liable for costs in case we go over budget.
  • The final wording and decision on contract will be decided and approved by the HCR President and the HCR Treasurer on behalf of the HCR
  • There was a problem with the voting system when we proposed this at the previous meeting.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

  • Brasenose Ball is an incredible event for all students at Brasenose to attend. Having college balls, it is one of the key things which makes Oxford such a unique university
  • The HCR should pass this motion to secure the continuation of a long, historic and amazing tradition of Brasenose Ball.
