OUARFC is the Australian Rules Football Club of the University. We are the oldest Aussie Rules club outside Australia and we have played a Varsity each year since 1907. We are a Half-Blue sport for both Men and Women and we field very competitive teams in the National University League and other competitions each year. We welcome new players of all genders invite anyone who has never played AFL before to come along and learn. AFL is the most popular sport in Australia - YouTube AFL and you will see how the sport combines the burliness of rugby with the finesse of football and the fitness of athletics into one enjoyable team sport, played with 18 players on each team! We are a very social club and we have plenty of socials – from weekly coffees through to games in the park and nights at the Club pub.
