Who we are

We’re RAG. We’re here to help organise, inspire and support student fundraising. Each year we put on a range of events and challenges raising thousands of pounds for charities elected by you and have plenty of fun along the way! We also bring fundraising to you - we take casino and glitter services to dozens of College Balls and events each year. Get involved?

Information for Charities

Nominations for the 2023 RAG Ballot will open in January 2023. A Oxford student will have to nominate you, so we recommend building your relationships with the Oxford student community.

Although all of our central events and projects raise money for the elected charities, we also support college charity representatives to deliver their own fundraising events and other student fundraising projects - please contact our Charities Liason Officer for more information.

If you are looking for student volunteers, why not join our Volunteering Portal?

The RAG Ballot 2022 - Results are in!

Thank you for voting in the RAG Ballot 2022! This past year, during mid-Hilary term (February), 2,506 students cast their votes to decalre two winning local and national charities that RAG will support over the next academic year. The winning charities for 2022/2023 are:

Oxford Pride

Local Charity

"In cities like Oxford, where we are free to express our love for one another, events like Oxford Pride provide a voice and visibility to help ensure that all human rights are maintained and upheld. Festival events produced by Oxford Pride, plus those promoted on behalf of local organisations, businesses, the universities and individuals, reach out to the wider community to help to raise understanding, empathy and equity."

Oxford Poverty Action Trust

Local Charity

"Active since 1996 the Oxford Poverty Action Trust (OxPAT) has distributed almost £750,000 to support homeless people in Oxford, including £65,000 in 2020; Typically it will be spent on shelter, food, clothing, advice, medical care, and training to help people get a job."

Amnesty International UK

National Charity

"Amnesty International is a global movement of more than 10 million people who take injustice personally. We are campaigning for a world where human rights are enjoyed by all. We lobby governments, and other powerful groups, such as companies, making sure they keep their promises and respect international law."

ForRefugees

National Charity

"We work with small local partners along every part of the journey through Europe each actively changing the immediate situation for migrants who have been forcibly displaced. We uniquely provide small-scale grants and basic charity services to local partners on the ground."
