Why 2019 is a great year to run your students’ union

There are always advantages to becoming a sabbatical officer (‘sabbatical trustees’) at your SU. You get to become a trustee of an institution with a huge cash turn over – 21-year-olds who’ve run a £1m+ turn-over organisation are few and far between.

 

 

Accelerated Degrees – The Fast and the Spurious

Accelerated degrees have once again found their way to the headlines, following endorsement by a House of Commons select committee. The idea is that, for all the attention that 9k tuition fees garner, one of the main downsides to University is that you miss out on lost earnings.
